ADULT LEGAL TECHNIQUES

ADULT ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES

  • Eye level down Slamming is allowed only if you are locked in a submission. (If your opponent lets go of the submission while you are about to slam you must let go of the slam).

  • No spiking your opponent on their head while attempting a takedown

  • No spiking your opponent’s head when opponent is on your back

  • No striking of any kind

  • No eye gouging or fish hooking

  • No grabbing the ears

  • No hair pulling

  • No holding of less than 4 fingers or less than 5 toes

  • No thumbing

  • No scratching and pinching

  • No punching of any kind

  • No biting

  • No squeezing or putting pressure on the groin area

  • No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing

  • No T-Shirt or shorts with pockets.

SUPER FIGHTS No-Gi & Gi DURATION:

  •  Purple Belt and Up: 8-minute rounds  

  •  Blue Belt:  6-minute rounds  

  •  Masters Division: 6-minute rounds  

 

GET DOWN RULE:

  • Blue Belt & Masters: If no takedown occurs within 2 minutes, the Get Down Rule is applied.  

  • Purple Belt: If no takedown occurs within 3 minutes, the Get Down Rule is applied.  

 

PROCEDURE:

A coin flip determines the position. Competitors restart in a sit-up guard/butterfly guard position with the bottom competitor holding double under hooks and their head on either shoulder of the top competitor.  

 

COMBAT JIU-JITSU:

  • Match Duration: 10 minutes  

  • GET DOWN RULE:  If no takedown occurs within 3 minutes, the Get Down Rule is applied.

BRACKET CHAMPIONSHIPS:

  • Match Duration: 6-minute rounds  

  • Finals Overtime: 4-minute round  

  • No Close-Outs: Teammates will be placed on the same side of the bracket to ensure a fair and entertaining competition.

  • 2 Stalling calls per match will be a disqualification. Each stalling will have a verbal warning.

JUDGES DECISION

In a judging process centered solely on submission attempts, three judges carefully assess the attempts made by participants and base their decisions on the quality, quantity, and execution of these submissions.

KIDS ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES

  • Submission techniques stretching legs apart

  • Choke with spinal lock

  • Straight foot lock

  • Forearm choke using the sleeve (Ezequiel choke)

  • Frontal guillotine choke

  • Lock inside the closed guard with legs compressing kidneys or ribs

  • Wrist lock

  • Single leg takedown while the attacking athlete has his head outside his opponents body.(**)

  • Bicep slicer

  • Calf slicer

  • Knee bar

  • Toe hold

  • Heel hook

  • Locks twisting the knees.

  • Knee Reaping

  • In straight foot lock, turning in the direction of foot not under attack. In toe hold, applying outward pressure on the foot

  • Slam

  • Spinal lock without choke

  • Scissor Takedown

  • Bending fingers backwards

  • Grab the opponent's belt and throw him to the floor on his head when defending a single leg situation while his opponent's head is on the outside of his body.

  • Suplex takedown technique, landing with the opponent’s head or neck on the ground.

GI LEGAL TECHNIQUE
  • Toe holds

  • Inside sankaku (honey hole) 

 

GI ILLEGAL TECHNIQUE
  • Heel Hooks 

  • Reaping 

  • Attacking towards the locked leg when in an inside sankaku (honey hole) position

  • In an instance where one athlete reaps across the belly button line, the match will be stopped and restarted in the last controlled position. No disqualification will occur.

 

WEIGH INS​​

  • Competitors will be weighing in with the GI.
